Finding Richness in Simplicity

The Tao delves into timeless wisdom of always having been and always being.

We can use this concept to learn how to approach executing missions sustainably.

Just as the Tao is not bound by birth and death, businesses rooted in timeless values

can transcend market fluctuations and economic uncertainties.

This is because mission-driven leaders are committed to something bigger than themselves - the mission.

Missions act as the superior decision maker and require leaders to let go of personal bias or preferences.

Instead of revenue being the ultimate bottom line, mission-driven businesses

prioritize soft data such as the transformation of people’s lives as a result of the mission.

In mission-driven working environments, money is not an incentive to make someone work harder or perform better.

Rather, fulfilling the mission and developing knowledge and skills is the incentive.

This means in mission-driven businesses there is a team committed to learning, growth and personal development.

These soft skills - when measured properly - can convert into efficiency for the business resulting in more revenue used for more impact.

Prioritizing soft data shifts our view of people as humans instead of performers.

In the age of AI, humans don’t need to compete with machines.

Instead, humans are being invited to resume position as stewards of relationships, resources, wildlife

and the environment.

This shift to prioritizing soft data is the call for humanized businesses to become a new standard for all industries globally.

When we include principles of the Tao in our leadership, simplicity becomes the ultimate goal,

so the mission can be stewarded with integrity.
