Finding Potential in Balance

Passage 4 from Stephen Mitchell’s translation of Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu

See the full translation here

The Tao is a piece of Chinese philosophy that is used as a source of wisdom and guidance.

It can be applied to your individual life, businesses, and society as a whole.

In the passage above, perhaps the Tao is inviting us to steward with modesty.

With status and money in mind, many corporations are enabling mass consumption

at the cost of human and wild life.

But when we develop businesses in a way where resources, processes and systems are regenerative,

industry can be a well of contribution - not just economically - but for human and wildlife

By adopting the way of the Tao, we ourselves and the businesses we build

can be laid on a foundation of simpicity, sustainability and innovation.

Industry can be in harmony with nature.

It starts with one business at a time.
